This Italian RYA Start Yachting 2-day course is perfect for absolute beginners to have an introduction to sailing, focusing on enjoying the experience while learning the basics about sailing.
Course Content
This course is designed for sailor-beginners who want to have some structure, the Italian RYA Start Yachting 2-day course is designed to teach you the basics of helming, trimming the sails, safety on board and at sea, as well as line handling and a few sailing knots. In Italy, our course is based from the port of Marina di Pisa on the coast of Tuscany, in sheltered waters with variable winds and a beautiful coastline. The course is normally held over the weekend and can include accommodation on board our sailboats by prior arrangement.

Next Steps
Following your RYA Start Yachting course, you will be able to move directly to the RYA Competent Crew 5-day course and with your existing certificate, and possibly reduce the course days on board to 3 or 4. We suggest the option of taking the online RYA Essential Navigation course to take advantage of your time on the water prior to joining for the competent crew course.
